I have a hamster named Hammy. There are a few different kinds of hamsters. Hammy is a teddy bear hamster. Hammy can live up to 5 years. I play with hammy every day on my bed.  
       You can put your hamster in a glass tank or you can put the Hamster in a CritterTrail. CritterTrail's are about $39.99.   Hammy has two CritterTrails that he can go in.   I clean Hammy's cage every 1 to 2 weeks. I put bedding on the bottom of Hammy's cage when I clean it.      
       I feed my Hammy every 3 days.I give Hammy greens almost every day. One thing you should remember is to only give your hamster enough greens to finish in 20 minutes. If your hamster hoards the greens you should take it out right away so it does not rot. If your hamster is not eating you should see a vet right away.      
If you want to get a hamster you should get the cage and the supplies and set it up a few days before you get your hamster. When you get your hamster you should not try to play with it for about 2 days. You should not let any one but you touch or pet your hamster for 15 days. You can leave hamsters for up to 3 days with out having some one taking care of them. Hamsters are fun to have as pets.
